Mandy's Story...
Mandy Breed: Shepherd mix Sex: Female Age: 9 months Good with dogs: To be evaluated Good with cats: unknown Good with kids: over 12 - was a stay Weight: 35 lbs but she is underweight Mandy is another dog that was rescued from the pound. Upon bringing her to her foster home, it became clear that Mandy is not used to living indoors and being around people all the time. She is extremely timid and shy, and is unsure of her surroundings so she will need to go to a special home that is quiet with only adults who have experience with dogs. Her foster family is working integrating her into their household as well as socializing her with people and other pets. Mandy is happiest when she is outdoors as this is likely where she has lived her entire life, so will do best with a family that will spend a lot of time with her in an outdoor setting. More info on Mandy will follow as she continues to progress in her new surroundings.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mandy, a Kirkland Belgian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Belgian Shepherd for sale in Kirkland, or seeking a Belgian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Kirkland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kirkland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kirkland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Belgian Shepherd breeders who help with Belgian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kirkland paves the way for another one to be saved.
