Mikey's Story...
Mikey Breed: Black Labrador Sex: Male Age: 7 yrs old Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Yes Good with kids: Adult home Weighs 93 lbs. Status: AVAILABLE! If you are looking for the ultimate loving, loyal companion, I'm the one for you. I have been in a loving home for as long as I can remember but on Saturday I had to move to my foster home because of a death in my family. I was very sad the first night but my foster family let's me cuddle up close so I feel much better. Yes I've noticed, as I'm sure you have that I am not exactly lap dog size but really what I love most, is to cuddle. My foster Mom says I am getting plenty of exercise following her up and down the stairs and that's good because I need to loose a little weight. I get along really well with the other dogs that live with us and with the cat. I'm completely trained and very well behaved when left alone in the house. Oh I almost forgot to mention, I was born with only three legs. Don't let that bother you because it doesn't bother me. The vet says I am very healthy and my hips and legs look great.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mikey, a Kirkland Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Kirkland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Kirkland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kirkland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kirkland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kirkland paves the way for another one to be saved.
