Geneva's Story...
Geneva is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!! This beautiful girl was dumped in a high kill shelter with her 3 babies. She has weaned her pups and watched them head to their forever homes. Now it is her turn! She was living with one of our southern volunteers until recently when she traveled north to live in a foster home with 3 active children and a 7 year old lab mix. She is doing great! She is very quiet and gentle for sure. She is doing really well in a crate, walks beautifully on a leash, hasn't had one accident in the house, and is just a sweet as can be. Geneva LOVES children and is so sweet and gentle with them. We think she is about 2 years old and weighs about 60 pounds. We are starting some low cal food and some increased exercise because she could stand to lose a few pounds, but we don't think it will take long to get her girlish figure back. Somebody is going to get a fabulous dog when they adopt this girl. If you think it should be you let us know. Geneva won't disappoint as a best friend and family member!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Geneva, a Cooperstown Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Cooperstown, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Cooperstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cooperstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cooperstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cooperstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
