My story

Sam is an adorable lab mix with a story. Born in mid October 2014, Sam became part of Circle of Hope K9 Rescue after a local shelter contacted us about a pup with a broken leg. If a rescue didn't take him, he'd most likely be euthanized.

WHAT? We couldn't let that happen to a BABY. A baby who had done nothing wrong! So we rushed over to snatch him up, ready to do what Sam needed to be taken care of.

Sam is so lucky we did! He didn't have a broken leg. Most likely due to his mama being malnourished, and Sam not receiving proper nutrition as a baby, his leg was not growing correctly. We've seen it before, and we'll see it again. The absolutely amazing part is that with good food and some additional nutrition (carrots and tomato juice), Sam's legs soon healed!

Sam is now going for walks and romping through snow with his foster siblings in Maine - both the two legged and 4 legged type! He's crated during the day when his foster mama is out of the house so he doesn't get into the usual puppy mischief.

Sam is housebroken, and walks well on a leash. He has great house manners too! He's a whole lot of fun, and ready to find a forever family of his own!
