Sophie's Story...
AVAILABLE 05-03-05 On 02-27-15 a pretty Black Lab gave birth to 9 puppies. On 04-30-15, three of the puppies were brought to the Animal Shelter, because unlike their siblings, the owner couldn't find homes for them. According to the owner, their daddy was a white Walker hound. What a great combination - part Lab friendly and happy go lucky and part Hound tolerant and eager to please. The three pups have been named - Charlie who is black with tan markings, Molly is yellow and Sophie is black with tan and white on her chest. They are playful, friendly loveable pups ready to become part of a loving family. They have been given their first vaccination and a dose of dewormer. Please consider making one of these sweet pups a part of your family come to the Shelter in Elizabeth City and adopt Charlie, Molly or Sophie.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Elizabeth City Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Elizabeth City, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Elizabeth City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elizabeth City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elizabeth City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elizabeth City paves the way for another one to be saved.
