Barkley's Story...
Meet Barkley, an eight week old German Shepard cross. This little guy is sure to steal the hearts of everyone he meets. He is cute as they come, has a stellar personality and his foster mom says smart too. In under a week he learned what a kennel is and adjusted to sleeping in it at night and during his alone time at home. He is also quickly learning to do his business outside and has only had a few accidents to date. He loves his foster brother and sister and at times forgets he is not their size yet. Barkley loves to play quietly by himself or with one of his siblings both in the house and in the backyard. He loves to be out in the sun just lying on the deck or in the grass. Could Barkley be your daily dose of cuteness?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barkley, a Regina Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Regina, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Regina.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Regina already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Regina breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Regina paves the way for another one to be saved.
