Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB March 19, 2012.
Jackson is a sweet, gentle kitty with a laid-back personality. He's a wonderful companion, always curled up on the couch, or on the bed next to his foster family. Jackson has the softest ginger fur and is very happy being brushed, petted and tickled under the chin. He loves hanging out on a windowsill watching the neighbourhood go by. He also likes playing games with his humans, especially chasing toys with feathers and string.
Jackson loves to drink from the tap, play with bathwater, and also likes to watch the toilet flush! He likes to hide in paper bags, boxes, and even the tub. He is so much fun to have around!
Jackson was surrendered by his owner who sadly did not want to address his urinary issues by providing him with appropriate food to manage his condition. Like many cats, Jackson has FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease), a very treatable condition that requires he stay on a healthy diet. If Jackson is eating poorly, he runs the risk of getting crystals in his urine which can make it painful for him to urinate and lead to other issues if not addressed. While in his foster home, Jackson has had no urinary issues, uses his litter box appropriately, and is happily eating his prescribed food. Jackson's pet food brand is easy to find at any pet store or vet's office.
Jackson is frightened of other cats and should be the only kitty in his forever home. Jackson is not shy around strangers and is very gentle with his human friends. He will often use the pads of his paws (rather than claws or biting) to push away your hands when he's had enough petting. Jackson is so much fun, and a total sweetheart!
