My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Gallagher or Gally for short and I am just about a 10 week old (as my estimated DOB is March 2, 2015) Quebec Nordic rescue baby!
I spend my first couple of weeks surviving on the streets of a Nordic reservation. Then a group of volunteers scooped me along with many others up and into cages we went to be sorted and then the long drive back to Montreal and then vetting and back to cages until a really nice volunteer from CAA Rescue came one afternoon to get me and bring me home with her.
So now I find myself with lots of people, big doggies and cats! One very friendly kitty… so I like to hang out and play with him a lot. One of the other kitties is a little bossy so I just stay away from her. Foster mummy says I am super smart and just baby who has everything to learn … but she gives me cuddles and says in no time I will be a perfect and well adjusted little man.
I am not house trained; this is something my adoptive family will have to work with me on. While I will do my business when I am outside I still have not figured out how to tell you I need to go outside. So if any accidents happen in your home please find a news paper, roll it up and spank your own bottom for not being mindful of my subtle signals!!! Also with the move to a new home I will have to start all over again with the house training regardless of the great strides I have made in such a short time with my foster mummy.

I have not been left alone too much as I am just a baby and really need someone who can spend time watching over me, caring for me and teaching me. I would prefer a home where my family is there often so that I do not start to develop too much anxiety from being left alone at such a young age!

I am dog and cat friendly but please do not be put off if you come to visit me as I am a playful puppy who can easily be distracted. I am just not used to people being nice to me because on the reservation my mama taught me to stay away from people because some could be very mean… so this is just a learning curve that I am going through.
I am a typical baby – everything must be inspected with my mouth!!! I need a family who will take the time and be devoted to my training to teach me how to be an awesome canine citizen. Ideally at this time that family has no children under the age of 10 years old

So far I have been great in the car but my new family should bring me out as often as they can for car rides. The more you bring me out and socialize me now the more and more I will get used to all kinds of places, people and things! I am a blank slate and it is up to you to fill me up with all the good things a doggie should be
To bring me home there will be adoption fee and a sterilization deposit fee. The adoption fee covers all my vetting: vaccinations including rabies, three different dewormings (I have already had two), neuter and micro chip at Animal 911 vet in Roxboro; my new family will have to make the remaining visits. The sterilization deposit will be returned on the day that I get neutered at Animal 911. CAA Rescue is asking for this sterilization deposit to protect me and my future, to ensure I am happy, safe and healthy for all times with no making babies of my own one day. So if you have puppy training knowledge and would like to meet me in hopes of taking me home forever when I am ready to make the next big step in my life please email CAARescue@gmail.com and ask them for an application to meet me, Gallagher!
