My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Salt is a 2 year old Great Dane. He enjoys the company of other dogs but has anxieties that cause him to take time to warm up to people. Salt is a sweet dog that will do best with other dogs and a patient owner. Salt's sister, Pepper, went to a new home and is doing well while having the same anxiety issues.

Salt has been living with us for several months now. Initially, he was afraid of us and afraid of everything; in order to get him in the house from the yard we had to leave the door open and hide so he couldn't see us because he would run away into the yard when he saw us.

Now, whenever he sees us, he comes to us to greet us and to get petted. Salt presses his head against your side to get close to you, he leans against you, he's started playing with us in the yard, and he enjoys going for walks.

In a new home, he will likely regress a little into his fearful self but with time and patience he will get to know and love you. Salt is a very pleasant guy with a lot of love to give and personality to share.
