Franklin's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Franklin's Story...
Franklin has had a rough time of it. He was taken into a local high kill shelter, along with his bonded mate, Eleanor, when his owner became disabled and unable to care for them. Upon initial Vet check, his mate Eleanor was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer. He was very devoted to her, doting on her, giving her his bed and food. He was with her until she died. He has gone through a time of mourning. With the help and love of his foster mom, he is now ready to find his forever home.

Franklin has a very loving personality. He never meets a stranger. He is just one of those cats that you never forget. He is FIV/FeLv negative, up to date on vaccinations, neutered-He is great with most other cats, although will sometimes challenge other males for dominance-Franklin has been in foster care with a small dog (12 lb maltese/yorkie mix) and has had no issues. It is unknown what his response will be to larger dogs. As with any other animal, Franklin would be great with respectful children.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Franklin, a Memphis Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Memphis, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Memphis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Memphis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Memphis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Memphis paves the way for another one to be saved.
