Don't worry, Mama is not as worried as she looks. This little lady puts on the sad puppy-dog eyes when the camera comes out but the truth is, she is one happy and bubbly pup! Mama is only about 2 years old and this petite hound mix came to us when she was found wandering as a stray. Unfortunately, whoever did own her at some point did not spay her, as it appears that she had at least one litter of pups. They did not give her heartworm preventative either, as Mama is heartworm positive. We have already started her treatment and will continue with it even after she is adopted. She will need exercise restriction until October, and will need to go to a home with no small children that could get her over-excited. Mama will need a home with no cats, but she seems to like some dogs and will be able to go home with one, as long as they can remain calm during her treatment. Mama is such a loving, polite, perfect little lady. She just loves people and cannot control her happy-butt-wiggle when she makes a new friend. She walks perfectly on a leash and sits nicely when asked. She is mellow and easy going, and wants nothing more than to curl up in your lap like a little lap dog. Mama is hoping for a great home with a family that will love her forever. File#24665 4/25/15
