Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mimi is currently our tiniest rescue..but the love and companionship that she puts out there is huge in its scope! Mimi was the beloved pet of an older woman who passed away and she is now ready to start the second part of her life. Mimi, at just about 5 lbs is a spry 12-year young lovebug. Tiny Poodles like Mimi, with great care, are capable of living to a very ripe old age...18 years old is not unheard of.
Mimi is a girl who is overjoyed at spending time with her people. She soaks in their kindness and seems to feel so good about herself. Once she's over her initial shyness...Mimi loves nothing more than being a full-time lap dog. She's so happy to accompany her people on strolls, car rides and activities that mean they're together. Mimi is so small and low-maintenance that she's very easy to spend quality time with. Once she bonds...she can be counted on for great behavior anywhere she goes. Mimi is also great with other small dogs...she loves just hanging out together in the sunshine.
Mimi is searching for the committed and kind family that she's never had the good fortune to call her own. Once she feels safe, she gives 100% to her relationships and loves her family deeply. We envision Mimi with a retired couple or individual who would choose a snuggly, cuddly dog as a full-time companion. Mimi will fill this role perfectly...she would give her heart and soul to please and be in the company of her favorite people. Since Mimi requires just a bit of exercise at her tiny size, she would be perfect for those who choose a dog for their friendship and ease to carry everywhere. She'll never be a long-distance hiker but could do very well initially...and then could fit into any backpack to enjoy the view from above. She also could be a simple take-along on a plane. She'd fit perfectly under the seat and would be a great companion for vacations or long-distance visits.
Mimi is a non-shedding girl and is considered one of the most hypoallergenic of all breeds. We feel that with periodic grooming and excellent nutrition, her coat will be healthy and cottony-soft.
Mimi is currently being fostered in the Denver area. If interested in a Meet and Greet with this sweet girl who is full of love and personality, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
