Boomer's Story...
Please contact ARNO (adoptfromarno@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet.

Boomer is a stunning blue grey target tabby who would make the perfect addition to anyone's home. He was born sometime in October 2014 and brought to ARNO as a foundling when he was about three weeks old. Mr Boomer is quite the gentleman, very dignified. He prefers lounging in his hammock and watching the world go by. As a bottle fed baby, he is very attached to humans and eager to bond with someone to call his family.  He gets along with other cats, and does not seem to be bothered by dogs.
For more info on Boomer contact arnokitty @ yahoo.com.  The adoption fee is $85 and includes neuter, shots, rabies and chipping. You can also come by and visit him at our no -kill shelter between the hours of 3-7.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boomer, a New Orleans American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in New Orleans, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in New Orleans.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Orleans already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Orleans breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Orleans paves the way for another one to be saved.
