Hello! My name is Eva and I am approximately 1 year old. My friends say that I am a Shepherd/Whippet mix. It's obviously just an educated guess, though, since they never met my parents. I think it sounds about right, though.
I am 32 pounds of pure joy and excitement. You'll never catch me without a smile on my face! I love meeting new people, and I get along great with other dogs, too. I'm super sweet, playful, and obviously adorable! My photos don't do me justice.
I was brought into a local high-kill shelter as a stray. At least that's what the people that dropped me off said. Who knows if it's true, though. Sometimes people just use that as an excuse to get rid of their pets. Isn't that sad?!
I spent two very long weeks at the shelter before a volunteer took notice of me and contacted CageFree. I know two weeks doesn't sound like a long time, especially when you take into consideration that sometimes dogs are there for months, but it seemed like forever to me. I'm not sure if you've ever been to a shelter before. If not, let me tell you a little about them. There are so many dogs that are constantly barking that you can't hear yourself think. It's cold and scary and sometimes dogs leave and never come back. I am so thankful that CageFree came to my rescue when they did. Who knows if I would have ever made it out alive.
I'm sure you're a little curious about what I am looking for in a family. Am I right? I think the perfect family for me would be an active one. I'm young, full of life, and ready to explore the world. If you enjoy the outdoors a lot I think we would get along just fine. I'm no couch potato! An ideal day for me would definitely include a trip to the dog park, a hike, or a great game of chase in the yard. Or if you're up for it, I'm down to do all three!
