Mindy entered the shelter after being found in a foreclosed home, raising a litter of kittens. She went into foster care where her kittens were played with and she was mostly ignored. Upon returning to the shelter, all of the kittens were adopted and Mindy continued to be ignored until she... became very fearful of people and could no longer be handled.
In spite of all that, Mindy enjoys chin rubs and being brushed (and she has super soft fur and a very loud purr!). She just needs someone who will approach her calmly and openly. She also enjoys high perches, window-watching, sleeping on the bed, and playing with toys. She does not like to be picked up or approached suddenly. She is still somewhat fearful of people walking around when she is on the floor, but less so when she is on a cat tree or other furniture.
