My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blanche is an extremely sweet, smart and attentive Jack Russell mix who is about 4 years old and a healthy 12 lbs. Even though she has partially failed eyesight, Blanche will be the ultimate companion for someone who wants to take long walks and cuddle a great deal. Someone with plenty of time and patience would be ideal for Blanche. She is ok with other small dogs has been exposed to cats with success. Due to her eyesight, Blanche does react mildly to the occasional “sniffing” if startled, but only with a quiet reserved snarl. Blanche’s foster parents love everything about her. She is deserving of a home for life that will love her and take care of her health needs as they may arise. This is not a common decency that Blanche’s previous people saw fit to provide her with. Tied up, outside, fearful of what we can only imagine a blind little girl would imagine. She suffers not only from eyesight failure, but isn’t really able to bark like she should. Potentially an injury to her vocal cords which sounds painful if and when she does try to vocalize. Her new family will need to be careful to keep her surroundings safe and clear for navigation which she is very successful at with the use of her highly sensitive nose and hearing. Blanche has easily adapted to her foster home environment. She has learned she can still steal her foster sister’s bed in a basket by sizing up the height with her nose, sniff out the really good toys, play a good game of tug of war and will even fetch by scent and voice command. She has realized the ultimate prize; a new spot on her people’s big bed, which she thinks is heavenly. She walks very well on a leash, sticking right to your leg, and loves to be out walking with companionship as much as possible. Blanche is truly a treasure and so extremely deserving of a warm, cozy, loving rest of her life. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com
