My name is Sammy !
Looking for my forever home to call my own!
I am 13 .... but still as loving and cuddling as ever, just look at me and I start my motor boat running, petting me makes me so happy and I am so soft to the touch, I don't know a stranger for sure.
I am very petite little guy : )
So I would make the perfect companion for someone to love!!!

I'm up to date on my shots, and I've had my spayed. My adoption fee is only $25.

If you'd like to know more about me, give Pamela a call at 352-542-1081, or send me an email!

About Dixie County Humane Society

About Our Rescue Group...

Dixie County Humane society is a volunteer group whose mission is to rehab and re-home neglected, abused and unwanted animals. We also provide a safe alternative to shelters for owners that are faced with the decision to find a new home for their animal.

Dixie County Humane Society is a no-kill shelter that was founded in 2006 by Pamela Swanson. Since its very inception, we have been fully committed to our core belief - every life counts.

We take those who others will not. We are committed to saving the sick, the injured, the abused, and the neglected ... those who would surely be put to death if we were not there for them.

We survive solely on adoption fees and the generosity of those who donate to our organization. All tax deductible donations are used entirely for the benefit of our animals. We do not receive funding from any government, any national or local organizations, any other charitable groups, or United Way.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Dixie County Humane Society offers adoptions every Saturday between 11 AM - 3:30 PM at the Gainesville, FL PetSmart, or in Old Town by Appointment.

Our Adoption Process...

Dixie County Humane Society (a 501C Non-Profit Corporation) offers pet adoptions every Saturday at the Gainesville PetSmart or at the Old Town facility, by appointment.

All of our animals are spade or neutered, receive booster shots for rabies and parvovirus (dogs), are fully wormed, and are put on heartworm and flea medication before being adopted.

Adoption fees vary depending on the animal. Rest assured that your money will help other animals find their furever families.
