Melanie came to The Rescue Train as a feral kitten when her mother was hit by a car. As scared as she and her two litter mates were we've convinced her that people are safe and good. There's something very special about Melanie that a true cat lover will revel in. Her stunning beauty is the first thing you notice. Her coat is so sleek and shiny with steel gray tiger stripes. She will be shy until he feels safe with a new person but is very brave as we introduce her to new things and life indoors. She needs a person who understand that a kitten who was once feral is going to take some to acclimate to new things and is willing to give her the time to adjust. Once she knows you and feels safe her personality is quite bold and spunky. Her true spirit will win you over. She is funny, inquisitive and playful. As I write this listing she's running around The Rescue Train office playing with her favorite toy mouse. Even though she would not be aggressive with small children we feel a mellow adult home would best place for her to blossom. She would do best where someone has time to interact and pay attention to her, continuing her socialization. She gets along with other cats and her best friend here at the rescue is a little dog named Ty. Melanie is 12 weeks old, litter box trained, has tested negative for FIV/LUK and had her first round of vaccines. She will be spayed & microchipped prior to adoption.
