Charlie's Story...
Say hello to Charlie! A whole lot of cuteness in a little package, Charlie is a young guy (born in October 2013), and is fully grown at a whopping 4 pounds. This little guy just loves people and other dogs. He is an expert kisser and is learning to walk on a leash. He's energetic and loves to play. Charlie is a happy, healthy guy, looking for a loving forever home. Charlie's vet let us know that his 'baby' canine teeth have not yet fallen out, so his adopter will need to be prepared to have that done. If you are interested in giving Charlie a forever home, please contact us directly at contact@flashlafayette.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Lafayette Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Lafayette, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Lafayette.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lafayette already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lafayette breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lafayette paves the way for another one to be saved.
