June's Story...

June is a wonderful dog that is full of energy and loves to play. She is very true to her Heeler genes, and loves to have a job to do. She is a quick learner.
She is young, about 1 year and a half. She is fully grown, at about 60 pounds.

June is very loving and eager to interact with others. She really loves to run around and have lots of room to explore and be active throughout the day. June is an enthusiastic dog who wants to be loved and appreciated for her unique personality. She has had some trauma associated with other dogs and possibly former owners. Because of this she is initially a little shy around new people but not harmful in any way, and it does not take long for her to be her friendly self with you.

She is a very sweet dog that only wants to meet someone that can give her the love and attention she needs to flourish.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

June, a Lafayette Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Lafayette, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Lafayette.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lafayette already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lafayette breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lafayette paves the way for another one to be saved.
