My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET DETECTIVE FINN TUTUOLA!

But you can call him Finn for short! Finn was surrendered to Philadelphia's animal control shelter by his family who could no longer care for him. One of the City of Elderly Love foster parents stumbled upon him in the shelter's kennels and knew she had to bring him home and get him fixed up! Let's just say that it was likely the best day of his life (well, until the day he's adopted)!

Finn is a 14 year old Shi Tzu who when we met him, looked like a face only a mother could love. He had an infected eye, un-groomed fur, overgrown nails, and some gnarly teeth. Luckily, Finn has since had all of those things corrected and he is feeling better than ever! While Finn may now only have one eye, he's likely only had vision in one eye for quite some time so he's very content to not be in pain anymore and gets along just fine. Like most old men, Finn does have some joint stiffness and arthritis in his back and is currently on anti-inflammatories to help keep him comfortable and joint supplements to keep his joints feeling good. Despite this, Finn has no problems zooming around his foster home!

In fact, Finn loves to go on walks and to lay around with his canine foster brother. He's gotten along great with all of the dogs he's met since joining City of Elderly Love and is even living with cats! He'd do well in a home with other friendly, easy-going pets like himself. Finn also likes to be picked up and carried around like a baby and is very affectionate. He is currently living with older children and seems to love to meet everyone he comes across! Because he's a smaller, older guy, he'd likely do best in a home with older children since he's past his rough housing puppy days! Finn can't wait to round out and complete that one lucky family out there - don't miss your chance at adopting him!

Finn is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love! He is already neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations. He is also heartworm negative and is finishing out a round of antibiotics to treat a mild case of Lyme's Disease. He also recently had a dental done! Interested in meeting him?
