Bentley's Story...
This beautiful boy is approx 2 yrs old and 38 lbs. He looks like a bearded collie mix. He is a really sweet dog, loves people and gets along with 99% of all of the other rescues but prefers to be the Alpha. He walks well on a leash, hops up in the car and loves to go on rides. Bentley will sit nicely for his treats and wags his tail all day long! He seems to be pretty well house trained. He really needs a home where he is an only dog or with another dog that is more submissive and docile. Overall he is a very good dog just needs to have an owner that understands his personality. He has been treated for heartworm and is on a monthly preventative
If you live in MA, there are new requirements for rescue dogs - according to the State Law, all rescues have to be quarantined for 48 hrs at the Ben Elder Kennels in Westport, MA. There is additional cost for this quarantine and new required health cert by a licensed MA vet of $110. We will go over all fees with you via email.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bentley, a Woonsocket Bearded Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bearded Collie for sale in Woonsocket, or seeking a Bearded Collie dog from a breeder in Woonsocket.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Woonsocket already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Woonsocket breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bearded Collie breeders who help with Bearded Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Woonsocket paves the way for another one to be saved.
