My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tater Tot came into the shelter a horrible matted mess. (Praise goes to the wonderful volunteer at the shelter that shaved him down for us.) All Tater wants is for someone to rub his belly and make up for the time lost when his hair was so nasty that probably no one touched him. He is such a cuddler! He would be perfectly content sitting next to you for hours getting his belly rub. Tater weighs about 15 pounds and is around 4 years old. He has HUGE brown eyes that make him look like a baby seal. He loves people and gets along with other small dogs, but he would also be fine as the only dog so he could get all the attention. Tater is such a people-dog that he would do best if he is not left alone all day.He would be perfect for someone who is home during the day and wants a sweet, lovable companion. His cutest trick is rubbing his back on the floor and making growling noises. He is a smart boy and will do just about anything for a treat or a belly rub. He also loves to go on walks. Does he sound like just the dog for you?

We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
