When Roscoe's rescuer walked down the aisle of the dismal Kansas shelter, she was shocked to see the adorable Roscoe tucked tightly into a cage...his time was up. Farfel's immediately got a call describing how incredibly cute and sweet this Poodle/ShihTzu mix is..and the need to save his life. We agreed and Roscoe became a very treasured Farfel's dog. He earned a ticket to a wonderful new life in Colorado with his great personality and kind and positive attitude toward the world. At just 12 - 24 months old and about 10 lbs, this very beautiful (his shelter photo in no way does this guy justice) and oh- so- fun pup is a blank slate waiting for positive input and guidance to be the best adult dog he's capable of being. We'd love to match Roscoe to a family that will spend lots of time with this very pleasant pup. He's a perfect size to accompany his family just about anywhere...and would love it! Positive reinforcement group obedience class will not only provide socialization and great skills...but will cement the relationship between Roscoe and his family.
Roscoe gets a ton of attention when he's out and about...we're stopped over and over by other walkers who are taken with Roscoe's beauty and engaging personality. Oh my, he is the cutest dog I've ever seen is a comment frequently heard about Roscoe. It's true..Roscoe is extremely eye-catching...but it's always his awesome personality that lights up a room. When he turns that gentle look in your direction, you can't help but smile at his silly antics and adorable ways. You can occasionally see just a touch of a sign that this young pup has had difficult times. But not for him to be negative..a smile and a wag is more Roscoe's style. It's clear that Roscoe has left the pain behind...he couldn't be more joyful.
Farfel's Rescue is searching for either an adult family for Roscoe ...it's not that he doesn't like kids...we just feel he'll be more comfortable and settled with adults. A retired couple or individual would be perfect for this pup - he would thrive on the time and attention that would be his. Roscoe is a loyal and positive puppy..that makes him very easy to spend time with just enjoying the wonders of life in Colorado. Roscoe would also enjoy time with gentle dogs of similar size who could be fun playmates.
Roscoe has a non-shedding snow-white coat with beautiful streaks of silver and gold through it. It requires periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep it cottony-soft and matt-free.
We've requested that Roscoe be neutered prior to his arrival in Colorado. If this doesn't occur due to too many dogs and not enough vets in rural Kansas...Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs for fixing and microchipping Roscoe at our Denver vet immediately after his arrival in Colorado.
