  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Trina is 2 yrs old and over recent months she is embracing living out her puppyhood, as she was rescued from a very high kill shelter. Appears she may have been used as a bait dog. Now she is LOVING being allowed to act and play like a puppy for the first time in her life. She acts like it is Christmas morning every day playing with the assortment of toys around the house. She frequently gets the 'zoomies' which is her mega bursts of running around with tons of energy, just the whole world is happily her play toy :-) She is a very happy 70 lb girl, with quite the sense of humor. Her foster family states Trina is a pack dog, she prefers to be with her people and other dogs. When foster mom is in the kitchen cooking, Trina sits right behind her and leans all her weight on her foster mom with a big smile on her face. She walks nice on a leash, knows basic commands, is house broken, crate trained and loves to run in the sun. She loves to play around and take naps on the couch beside you in the evenings. Her foster family has other large dogs as well as 2 indoor cats. She has proved time and time again how very smart she is and learns ohhhh so quickly :-) She is a VERY high energy pup and would do best without small children or small pets at this time, as she doesn't understand she is not a 15 lb pup and she could potentially knock over a little one, trying to play. ANY questions about Trina, please just ask us :-)

Her adoption fee is $250 to a loving home. Trina is spayed, micro chipped and up to date on her shots. Home visits and references are required on all adoptions. If you would like more information about our rescue and our dogs, including more photos, visit our website at

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fee is $250. There is an adoption application and an adoption contract. A completed adoption application is required prior to arranging a 'meet and greet.'

We try to adopt to families who own their own home, have a fenced yard with a doggie door and someone who is home the majority of the time.

We do check vet and personal references and do our very best to make sure the adoptee and adopter are perfect matches.

There is a two week money back guarantee on any of our pets. If for any reason the pet is not ideal for your situation, we'll take him/her back and refund your money. IF after two weeks you decide not to keep the pet, you must still surrender the pet to Sunrise Foundation, LTD., however after two weeks there is no refund.

We require the completion of an adoption application and require at least one home visit before placing any dog. Placement of each dog is in our sole and absolute discretion. Because we are a small charity, we may limit the geographical area in which we will place a dog as we require at least one home visit. This geographical limitation will be in our sole and absolute discretion.
