Meet Chubs! This happy boy is looking for his very own Forever Family. Chubs loves to play fetch and run with his foster sibling. He walks like a dream on the leash! Although he has the typical Springer energy, Chubs is very content to curl up next to his foster family and get snuggles and pets. He has shown himself to be very gentle around new adults and kids; when approached, Chubs will sit or lie down to get his belly rubbed. Chubs is typically quiet and doesn't bark unless he's excited and playing.

Chubs is crate trained, but he prefers to have full run of the house, including lying on couches or sleeping in bed. His current foster family is working on teaching him that he needs to be invited up on furniture. Chubs can get vocal when you ask him to get down from furniture, but a treat or simply leaving the room will motivate him to jump down. When he rides in cars, Chubs is the perfect traveling companion, sitting in the seat and looking out the window or snuggling up and sitting close to a human companion.

Chubs would be a wonderful addition to your home! He seems to adapt very well to new situations, and he is very gentle with people of all ages, including small children. If you are willing to play fetch, rub his belly, and give him treats (he loves fresh veggies, fruit, and plain Greek yogurt), Chubs will be your new best friend!

Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.

Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Chubs.
