My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This cute little pup was one of 6 that were found dumped in a plastic laundry basket in a parking lot. Bear and his siblings are little terrier/possibly Maltese mixes. He is approx 4 months old at 6/10/15 and recently weighed in at 17 lbs but will mostly be about 30 lbs as an adult. He has the best personality, loves to run and play with his buddies and with toys. Bear has a great temperament and is just a happy little dog! He is not fully house trained but is a very smart little pup and will learn very quickly, he will also need some leash and harness training.
6/11/15 A note from Bear's foster mom:
Bear is a sweet and laid back little guy, but he does love to run and play. His foster dad would take him almost everyday to visit with the residents of the local nursing home and he would sit quietly and let them hold and pet him. But when he was home he was playing with his doggy friends. He loves all dogs, big and small. He barks at cats...I don't know think he would hurt one, but will chase them if they run. We haven't tried playing ball with him but I think he would love it. Bear hasn't been around kids but he has a sweet nature and I believe he would be fine....as long as the kids treat him well and are not too rough with him.
Bear loves to chew on Nylabones and stuffed toys as well. He can be a bit of a sock thief if you are not careful about where you leave them. He also loves a good stick!
He is trained to go in a pen/open top kennel when we are not at home. If you tell him to get in his kennel and he sees you reaching for a treat he will be in the kennel before you get the treat out. He is a very smart boy and I think will be easy to train. He'll do just about anything for a treat.
We have a doggie door and he would go in and out so is pretty well house trained. He will still need a little work in order to get into your routine. He doesn't like to walk on a leash.
Bear slept in the bed with us at night, but would be happy to sleep in a doggie bed if that is what you wanted
