Edalaine's Info...

Edalaine's Story...
Edalaine was in a rescue shelter in Alabama. She'd had a litter of puppies, nursed them all and waved a paw goodbye as each left her side to go to adoptive homes. Meanwhile Edalaine was diagnosed with a case of heartworms. No one wanted the mama dog so we came to her rescue!

Heartworms, when caught early and treated as in Edalaine's case, are not a black mark on a dog's medical chart! They're caused by mosquitoes, very common in the south, and are preventable if you jgive your dog an inexpensive monthly pill! Edalaine's owners weren't responsible and let her get heartworm and get pregnant. Let's not punish this gorgeous dog for her owner's mistakes!

Edalaine is a gentle, young 50-lb dog who is very friendly and loving. I met her and 30 seconds later she was practically in my lap! She's a perfect companion animal. We'll treat her heartworm on our dime (via a monthly pill) and see to it that she's cured so don't let that stop you from considering this beautiful girl.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Edalaine, a Marietta Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Pointer dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer breeders who help with Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
