Hi! My name is Jett.
I am 2 years old neutered male Great Dane/Labrador mix.
I have much to tell you about myself.
I’ll let my wonderful foster momma tell you about me —-
* Jett has been around teenagers
* Jett wags his tail but does not have happy tail
* He has not shown food aggression during his time at my home
* Jett is not a jumper
* He likes to play and wrestle with other dogs
* Jett is a NO cat dog, he is not aware of his size and is too rough
* Jett can play rough but when reminded, “easy”, responds to correction
* Jett is good with all dogs, size or gender
* Jett has separation anxiety and will destroy things when left alone
* Jett is not used to a crate but is working on crate training currently to help with the separation anxiety/destruction
* Jett would really do best with a family that doesn’t have to leave him alone for too long a periods and can continue to work on crate training.
* Jett rides fine in the car
* Jett enjoys walks and does not pull.
* Jett would do best with training classes for command help and bonding
* Jett does not like to eat alone, sometimes needs encouragement to get started
* Jett has only attempted to get on the sofa a couple of times, he did not listen to “down” or “off”, he needed a little tug on the collar with another “down” command, this is the only furniture he has attempted to get on
* He is not treat motivated for tricks, he knows “sit”, “come”, “go outside” but responds best to a gentle and solid tone of voice, nothing lifted, he seems to think he is in trouble if the volume is anything but a very solid low command tone
* Jett was well behaved at the Vet, getting along with all staff as well as random dogs visiting
Jett is getting better at baths, due to the rainy muddy season and his level of activeness he * has had several bath sessions to become more comfortable.
* Jett is respectful and kind to the other four dogs of all sizes and genders at his foster home
