My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LZ is a spunky, sociable gray and white tuxedo, about 7 years old. He was recently surrendered to the shelter because a change in circumstances in the home prevented the family from giving their pets the attention they needed. He's got an opinion, this one, but a big personality too. He desperately needs to be out of his cage, but he's still learning that he's not exactly the alpha in the cat room, so he is a bit confused. Time will tell if he needs to be an alpha, or can accept a "second banana" role in a new home. He's not quarreling with other cats, he's just a bit confused about his new role at the shelter, wanting very much to check out the entire cat room and be sociable, but then realizing that perhaps he might step on the wrong paws and should retreat a little. He is not shy at all about approaching his human friends for pets and affection, but when he's had enough, he'll let you know! He kind of thinks he's one of us. LZ is 7 years old and in very good health. While he has never lived with a dog or children, he could be fine with a non-aggressive dog, but because of his sassiness, he wouldn't be a good match for small children. And while he is adjusting to not being the "alpha" at the shelter, he might have to be the alpha in a home with other cats, until he learns otherwise.

LZ is box-trained, neutered, current on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. Adoption fee for adult cats is $50 (cash or check only, please).
