STATUS: Boone has been adopted by Jim Smith of Cary. PERSONALITY: Loving, playful, well-balanced, smart, eager to please. ~DOB: October 2012 WEIGHT: Currently about 40 lbs. HEALTH: UTD on all vaccinations and monthly preventatives. STERILIZED: Neutered MICROCHIPPED: Yes DOGS: Boone loves dogs of all sizes. CATS: Boone has not been tested with cats but more than likely would be fine with a dog savvy cat. CHILDREN: Boone is fine around children however would be best suited for a home with older children rather than toddlers. HOUSEBROKEN: Yes CRATETRAINED: Yes LEASH MANNERS: Boone loves walks! CAR RIDES: Loves them! FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Boone is a very loving dog, his favorite spot is to snuggle up with you. He loves the company of other playful dogs so a home with another young dog would be the ideal match for Boone. Boone likes the water and would make an ideal hiking buddy. Boone loves to play catch with his ball, is well-behaved and barks very little. He wants nothing more than to be with his pack and spend time with you. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Boone was owned by a young man who ended up having to work many long hours and felt it was not fair for him to be alone for most of the day. He wanted the best for Boone so he though it best to find a better home where Boone would have lots of attention and love and possibly a playmate to spend his days. We do home visits to finalize adoptions and/or deliver the adopted dog. Therefore, we prefer potential adopters live a reasonable distance to the Triangle area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) of North Carolina.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boone--ADOPTED, a Cary Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Cary, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Cary.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cary already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cary breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cary paves the way for another one to be saved.
