STATUS: Adopted PERSONALITY: Outgoing, investigative, snuggle girl ~DOB: 2009 AGE RANGE: Young FUR LENGTH: Short Hair COLOR: Black STERILIZED: Spayed DECLAWED: No, claws can be easily trimmed SOCIABILITY WITH CATS: Indifferent to other cats, would be fine as a single kitty as well. SOCIABILITY WITH DOGS: Likes dogs, but the dog in the home must have kitty manners AROUND CHILDREN: Any age should be fine, kitty experience helpful COMMENTS FROM FOSTER HOME: Raven -- with her sleek black coat -- is a beautiful kitty. She has a push-button purr and loves human companionship. She is still learning about her canine and feline friends, but is getting along with them better every day. Kids over 5 or with kitty experience would be appreciated. Raven can't get enough attention and is anxious to have a snuggle buddy. Are you that person? EVERY CAT HAS A STORY: Raven was found in a tree early one morning perched on a limb, unsure of how to get down. She spent the day there and the neighbors decided to acquire the help of her foster family to get her down. After 45 minutes of coaxing with a can of food, she came down backwards into the arms of her rescuers. Safely in her foster home, Raven is now looking for a forever home. We prefer to adopt within a 30-mile radius of the Triangle area of North Carolina.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Raven-Adopted, a Cary Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cary, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Cary.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cary already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cary breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cary paves the way for another one to be saved.
