Say hello to Elphie! This little tripod was brought to a Los Angeles shelter after being hit by a car. The injuries he sustained forced the amputation of his left front leg. Not to worry though, this brave little Chihuahua/Terrier mix is learning to get around quite well on three legs. Despite everything he’s been through Elphie remains upbeat and happy. Guess it’s true that you can’t keep a good dog down and Elphie is a very good dog. He is already neutered, up to date on vaccines and flea control. ADOPTION PROCESS:
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. Completed applications can be submitted online, faxed to (949) 743-5878 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
