Rooney's Story...

Rooney, a male Miniature Schnauzer with an estimated DOB of 5/2013, is a bundle of energy!  He is very intelligent, playful, alert, spunky and a good companion.  He likes other dogs but, like a typical Schnauzer, comes on very strong and may intimidate a more laid back dog.  Once he meets the other dog, however, he is quite the player.  Rooney will bark a lot if he feels left out i.e. if he knows people are about but are not paying attention to him.  Once he is picked up or just comes in close proximity to a person he is quiet and very affectionate.  Rooney will need regular grooming. He appears to be housebroken.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rooney, a Parkville Standard Schnauzer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Standard Schnauzer for sale in Parkville, or seeking a Standard Schnauzer dog from a breeder in Parkville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Parkville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Parkville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Standard Schnauzer breeders who help with Standard Schnauzer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Parkville paves the way for another one to be saved.
