My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, how are YOU today? I’m doing pretty good myself, probably because I’m an all around happy boy most of the time. My name is Blue, what is your name? I’m an adoptable 2 year old, shih-tzu mix boy at NBS Animal Rescue. I’m potty trained, crate trained, enjoy going for walks, playing like a wild man with other dogs, getting belly rubs and snuggling.

I’m hoping to find a fur-ever home, that will appreciate my outgoing, silly personality. It would be just wonderful to find a home that wants to play with me, and appreciate that I like to fluff my doggy bed to be juuuust right before I take a snooze. My friends at NBS said that somewhere out there, there is a lap just waiting for me, and a home that would love me always. Could that be with you? If you think I’d be a good match for you, please fill out an application at www.NBSAnimalRescue.com.

Thank-you for clicking on my profile, I’d love to meet you. Let me tell you a little bit about adopting me, and a little more about NBS Animal Rescue.

1.) Visit www.nbsar.org to fill out my adoption application. As an approved adopter, my rescue friends can set up a home visit so I can meet you. Our rescue is 100% run by volunteers, to help your application be processed as quickly as possible, please make sure to….

2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release information about your current and past pet’s veterinary history.

3.) Call your references too! Let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number, and a rescue team member will need to talk to them on the phone as a reference.

My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food. If you’d like to meet me, please apply online and to become an approved adopter!

Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative , spayed/neutered (unless a documented medical reason is on file with your veterinarian). Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.

While I hope that you have fallen in love with me and are ready to apply, I understand if I might not be the perfect pup for your family just yet. However, would you please help by sharing my picture on Facebook, twitter or by email? I'm a great pup and need a loving family to give all of my love and puppy kisses to! Thank-you for your help!
