Mindy's Story...
Name: Mindy
Breed: Lab/Aussie mix
Age: Young Adult
Gender: Female

Mindy is a young adult female Lab/Aussie mix, full grown at 45 pounds, and a very gentle, agreeable, easy going dog. She is fostered with kids, cats, and dogs and gets along seamlessly with everyone she meets. Mindy is low to medium energy, walks like a treasure on the leash, and is not a barker. She is house trained and crate trained. Mindy can be a little shy at first- shown by standing like a rock and wagging her tail politely while she waits for someone to tell her what to do-, but she's been through a lot-- being in the pound with her 3 puppies (who were 10 months old) and then being taken from them, being abandoned, and now is flourishing in foster care. She is a really nice dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mindy, a Minneapolis Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
