Rex's Story...
This happy-go-lucky guy is Rex and he is looking for his loving forever home. Rex is a wonderfully sweet boy who wants nothing more than to be near his people. He is an easy-going guy that isn't really interested in playing with toys. Rex has the aches and pains that come with old age and will likely need regular medication to help with pain management. Rex really just wants a nice, quiet home that usually has people there that can keep him company. Poodle fur has a tendency to mat so he will need regular grooming to be a happy boy. There is something inherently charming in Rex's sunny disposition and he'll make someone an excellent friend. He is comfortable around other dogs and can easily live with one that isn't overly energetic. Rex has lived with cats before and would do just fine having a feline friend. He has also lived with children and can live with respectful kids who will play gently with his aging body. If Rex sounds like the dog for you, please come to the front to fill out an adoption application to spend time with him today.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rex, a Bellingham Standard Poodle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Standard Poodle for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Standard Poodle dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Standard Poodle breeders who help with Standard Poodle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
