My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Benny. I am a loving lab/hound mix who was born on Christmas Eve 2014. I have the most beautiful eyes you will ever see. I love to play ball and fetch and am looking for a family with a yard to run in. Though I have a serious look when I am not panting, I am very cheerful and love being with my human parents and my two gradeschool aged brothers, leaning into them to be petted and putting my hand on their arms to have my belly scratched. I sit well to be brushed, and I will paw at the back door when I need to go potty, but I don't bark to go out. I am fine in my crate during the day while my family is at work and school. I get along with dogs of all sizes. At 54 pounds I am a strong boy, so I hope to find an active family. I am wary of strangers at first, but with a calm introduction I warm up. Though I have a loud bark when I am protective of my family, I am a sound sleeper and am not worried about outside noises or storms. You can find out more about me by emailing info@habitat4paws.org.
