My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

8 year old Ruby is a delight. Her breeding is a mystery, but her personality is written all over her body. Always ready for a walk, or game of fetch... she is a quick learner with unlimited potential. She settles easily when playtime is over.

Here's what her foster mom has to say about her: "Ruby is a great girl! She has no idea that she is about 8 years old. When she is out in the field running free, she runs quickly and happily. Chasing and retrieving tennis balls is her favorite. Indoors she is the perfect lady. She is completely house trained. Ruby knows many instructions- "sit", "down", "shake", "stay"- at least most of the time, "go to your bed"(always used in a positive context), and "out of the kitchen". There are probably others I've yet to discover. Ruby likes to know where I am in the house but is not underfoot.

She's met a couple of 6 year old girls and was content to be patted. I think she has been a family dog and would do beautifully in another family, especially one with kids old enough to play and run with her."

Ruby has an endearing habit of after greeting me at the door, running to get her stuffed toy and bringing that to me. She is a sweetheart and would love to have a new forever family of her own. I'm enjoying being her foster mom."
