SergeantAnthony (Sarge) and Griffin are brothers, born approximately 1/25/15.
These two, together or separately, would only do well in a home where the person is willing for a long period of acceptance. Griffin is more adoptable and he did well recently being held by the school teenagers who visited our adoption event. Sarge is still an independent cat and only accepts me on his terms. He is changing slowly and only comes close to me a lot of times because he thinks I have something that he might want. In the morning when I go to the bathroom he has become quite friendly and allows me to pet and scratch him, like I say he is progressing slowly.
Griffin, I remember as a small kitten who would cover his face and eyes with his paws thinking if I can't see you, you aren't there but of course I was. I would pet him and he would roll away until he reached a distance where I would stop and then he would move closer to be petted again. At four months old he jumped onto the foot rest of my recliner as I watch TV. That night he decided being a lap cat was a good thing. We have had our ups and downs but I know he is a gentle great cat. He likes attention on his terms. He can be picked up and held until he says no more. He will jump on the table as I leave to say good by and get a quick pet on the head.
