Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PENDING ADOPTION! Rudy is a purebred Pomeranian. He was turned into a Chicago vet clinic with an eye injury about 3-4 weeks ago....his eye has completely healed, two different docs/vets have checked him out and said there are no signs of any permanent injury, his sight is also fine. Rudy was turned in with a matted down, dirty coat, so he had to be shaved down. His fur is starting to grow back now just fine! It's called a lion cub cut! The fur will eventually grow in to be the coloring of his head and paws and will probably be 2-4 inches long around his body; he is a dark orange coloring usually referred to as red. Pomeranians, in the U.S., come in sizes as small as 4-5 lbs and as big as almost 30 lbs, although the show ring only now recognizes the small dogs. Rudy is full grown now, about 3 years old....his fur being shaved down makes him look a little smaller than when he was in full coat, the fur will be approx 2-4 inches long, and he is approx 15-17 lbs. Rudy is a very sweet boy; he is loving and affectionate. Rudy is very people oriented. Rudy is playful, but does not really play very much with other dogs, he is very selective in his doggie play, although gets along fine with other dogs. As Poms are, Rudy is very much a people dog, he is very focused on what his people are doing, and most will pick a favorite person within the family. Rudy, also like most Poms, likes and prefers to have his people around, he would be happiest with someone who is home, works from home, etc., not a full time, out of home or traveling job person. He does not have any separation issues though, and he is fine in a crate and has no issues if he has to be left alone for short periods. Rudy does fairly well on walks and rides in the the car. Rudy is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Rudy, please send us an email to" CERbuddies@live.com for an application! Thank you for considering adoption!
