Sometimes things happen in life that can have an impact on many living creatures.  Topaz's story is on that list.  She was adopted from Rescue in the fall of 2010 and had a good life.  Then there was a medical crisis in the family that ultimately led to no alternative for her human mom but to return Topaz to us.  Everyone is sad and we've promised Topaz that we'll work very hard to find her a new family as soon as possible.  One thing about Topaz is certain.  She absolutely loves to play ball.  In fact, she loves to go to dog parks as well but when she's at the park, she's more interested in her ball than she is the other dogs.  Go figure!  Speaking of other animals, absolutely no cats in Topaz' new home.  She can be a bit shy around people when she meets them for the first time but once she gets to know you, she's very accepting.  Crowds of people can make her a bit nervous as well.  Topaz wants to remind everyone that it isn't necessary to be a social butterfly so if that's okay with you, it's okay with her.  By the way, when Topaz arrived at Rescue recently, one of our volunteers described her as friendly and pleasant, behaving just like any other proud German Shepherd Dog.  Can you help her find a new forever home?  If the answer is yes, she'll love you and stick by you forever.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.

Our adoption process begins with completing an application on-line. A phone screening will soon follow, and lastly a home visit will be conducted by our volunteers.

We show our dogs at adoption eventsevery weekend! Check our our website to see where we'll be next!
