Petey's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and not good with cats.

Petey's Story...
Petey is a 6 or 7 year old male Lab mix with a wonderful, loving, obedient personality. He is a sweet boy, perfect in every way except he has a strong prey drive with regard to cats. Petey walks well on a leash, loves riding in the car, loves walks, doesn't bark and chews only on soft stuffed toys. He is house trained and doesn't get on the furniture. He gets along well with other dogs . He would make a great companion for someone as he just hangs out with you wherever you might be and whatever you are doing. He showed light heartworm positive which if kept on Heartgard monthly should take care of that. He is looking for a loving home without cats with a fenced yard. Please e-mail a request to the e-mail address at the bottom. PAC adoption days are held every Saturday from 11:30AM to 3:30PM at the PetSmarts in Buford (across from the Mall of Georgia) and at the Winder/Bethlehem located at Hwys. 316 and 81.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Petey, a Winder Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Winder, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Winder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winder paves the way for another one to be saved.
