SHELBY's Story...
Shelby is a beautiful 1 year old, tri-color, Treeing Walker Coonhound mix, weighing about 40 lbs, who had a rough start to her young life, but that is all behind her now. She was picked up as a stray in Union City, TN and was rescued when we found that she was sick, underweight, and in need of care that could not be provided by Animal Control. Since then, she has been in a foster home where she recovered quickly, gained weight and thrived to become the striking dog she is today. Her fur now shines and shows how wonderfully marked she is. Shelby is mellow yet playful, and enjoys fetch and keep-away games. When it’s time for cuddling, she is sweet and gentle, loving and appreciative. She will stand quietly beside you for pets and scratches. She is crate trained and she gets along well with other dogs, both male and female. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SHELBY, a Salem Treeing Walker Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Treeing Walker Coonhound for sale in Salem, or seeking a Treeing Walker Coonhound dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Treeing Walker Coonhound breeders who help with Treeing Walker Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
