My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Roscoe is a young beagle, about 1 year old. Roscoe was found one day wandering on his own and a very nice family took him home with them, but his owners never came for him He then came to HBHR to find a new home for his very own. He is 13+ inches tall and a slender 22 pounds.

Roscoe is almost the perfect beagle. He can be playful when he has a willing playmate and he is calm when there is no one for him to play with. Although he is a young beagle, Roscoe has not chewed on anything that his not his to chew on. He likes stuffed squeaky toys, but does not get overly excited with them. He will chase a toy or ball, but will not always bring it back. When playing alone without a doggie playmate, he looses interest in this game pretty quickly. Roscoe loves to chase, roll and wrestle with a willing playmate.

Roscoe gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home. He plays with those that want to play, and is very respectful of those that have no interest in playing. He loves snuggle time on the couch with his foster parents. He loves to go on walks and gets very excited when the harness and leash come out. He does pull a bit while walking, and does get vocal when he sees other dogs, and sometimes other people.

Roscoe is crate trained, but does not like to be in the crate. He will bark for a while when his foster parents leave for work in the morning and will back again when they come home. He is ready to get out of the crate.

Roscoe is house trained with the use of a doggie door. He is not 100% yet, but he is working on it. Roscoe does not like when it rains, and during the recent almost constant rain, he did not want to get his feet wet, and had a few accidents.

Roscoe likes to sleep with his foster family at night, and likes to snuggle down under the covers. He also likes to snuggle up when it is TV watching time, and if you have a cover, he likes to be under it.

Roscoe would love to have a family that will spend time playing with him and loving him. He would love to have a playful playmate as well. If you think this sweet boy will fit in with your family, please fill out an application so you can meet him.
