Alex's Story...
"Hello, everybody! My name is ALEX, and I'm a handsome, well-mannered gentleman who's ready to be your best buddy. I'm a Pharaoh Hound/ Cattle Dog blend, and I'm about two years old. I know my commands, like sit, down, and shake. With my high intelligence, I can probably learn just about anything you'd like to teach me. I've already been house trained, too. I enjoy going for walks, and I love to play fetch. I'd need daily exercise to be at my best, and I'll need a yard at my new home. I'd be a wonderful family pet, and I get along well with other dogs. When you visit me at the shelter, please remember that most of us shelter dogs show our best selves out in the play yard that they have here. I hope you'll visit me soon, as I'm ready to be a great friend to a lucky person or family. Love, Alex" Kennel #27

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alex, a El Cajon Pharaoh Hound/Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pharaoh Hound/Cattle Dog for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Pharaoh Hound/Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pharaoh Hound/Cattle Dog breeders who help with Pharaoh Hound/Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
