Hera's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Hera's Story...
I"m Hera, named after the Greek goddess of family. A lady named Cheryl named me as part of her Mother's Day gift. Rumor has it she's going to bring me my very own toy. I may lick her.

I'm a confident, happy girl. I didn't have any problem adjusting to the boarding facility. I've been out running the boy dogs for years, so living with a bunch of them doesn't scare me a bit. With that said, I'm excited to move into my very own foster home to learn now to be a pet dog instead of a racing dog. I'll try to be the best at that too!

Hera is 4 1/2 and just finished a long racing career. She appears to do fine with small dogs and cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hera, a Tucson Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Tucson, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Tucson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tucson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tucson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tucson paves the way for another one to be saved.
