My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Huey is 3 years old and weights 40 lbs. We were told he's a labradoodle but due to his size, coat and personality traits we believe he is a "Whoodle". A wheaten terrier / poodle mix.

Huey was surrendered to us by his second owner who only had him for 6 months. Due to personal issues they felt it would be in Huey's best interest to find him a new home. We believe his first owner did not treat him kindly so Huey has not had the best start.

Huey is a sweet, loving boy who can be shy at first but warms up quickly. He thrives on human love and attention and would be happiest in a home where he's not left alone all day. He would love to be someone's constant companion! Even though Huey gets along with other dogs we think he'd be happiest as an only dog. Competing with other dogs for his human's attention causes him much anxiety and may trigger negative behavior.

Huey is used to having access to the outside through a doggy door so he will need house training in his new home and time to adjust to a new routine.

He has not been tested with cats.

He loves to go for walks and is a perfect gentleman on walks, no pulling and walks at a nice pace.

He likes to relax with a pillow under his head on the sofa or bed, comfort is key for this guy! He pretty much just wants to be close to you and hang out.

He rides nicely in the car and enjoys looking out the window!

He is not crate trained and gets very stressed in a crate.

REQUIREMENTS***NO EXCEPTIONS***
~ Huey needs to be an only dog.
~ A home where it will be okay for him to sleep in bed with his human(s).
~ Securely fenced yard, NO INVISIBLE FENCES.
~ No out of state or long distance adoptions (will only consider if within 50 miles of Cleveland).
~ Must be able to provide a high quality, grain free diet.
~ No children under 13 years old.
~ Needs regular grooming but Huey gets stressed and will need an experienced and patient groomer.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application located at
https://dogsunlimited.wufoo.com/forms/adoption-application-for-dogs-unlimited-rescue/

All Dogs Unlimited Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on all shots, and are given a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Upon adoption, all vet records and any current medications are provided to the adopter.

THE SUBMISSION OF YOUR APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE AN ADOPTION NOR DOES IT OBLIGATE YOU TO ADOPT. Multiple applications are accepted for any available pet and a home is chosen that is the best match between the available pet and the potential furever family. Your application will be processed as quickly as possible and if approved, a home visit would be scheduled. No adoption is final until an Adoption Agreement is presented and agreed to by both parties.

Our goal is to find the right match of our dogs to their new family so all involved are furever happy! Questions: email adopt@dogsunlimitedrescue.org

And THANK YOU for considering a rescue dog for your family!
