My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pippa could be that dream come true pup for retirees who love spending their time with a cottony-soft and very smart companion. There's no question that Pippa would also do well with very gentle older kids who enjoy the love that a sweet little dog brings to a family. We'd like only older children in Pippa's family not because she doesn't enjoy young kids...she really does - but because Pippa is only about 10 lbs and approximately 7 - 7.5 years old (such a great age for a dog - old enough to have left puppyish behavior behind yet have many, many active years left and young enough to be fun and mobile to accompany her people everywhere they go)... we want to make certain that Pippa is handled gently and respectfully. Pippa does enjoy cuddling and huge hugs... she is very entertaining in her silly antics and energy that speaks of the sweetness and devotion she wants to show to everyone she knows.
Her story is all too common..a home with a very devoted mom who suddenly finds that she must move into an assisted living facility that doesn't allow dogs. This is so challenging for all involved and it's why Farfel's is committed to matching sweet Pippa to the most nurturing and loving home...she deserves it for the gift of love and loyalty she's always given .
Pippa is initially just a bit shy..but give her a moment (a belly rub and yummy treats are helpful) and she inches just a bit closer to a welcoming lap. Before you know it she's gently loving you with a soft kiss. As soon as we met Pippa, we recognized all of this and knew that there was a home out there that would love, respect and make this little girl a permanent member of their family. Pippa would be ecstatic to spend her days with a loving person who enjoys quiet as well as fun times with their pup. She's so pleasant and portable that she can be a part of any adventure....it can be a leisurely walk, a visit with friends (with or without their dogs), a car ride or just an afternoon spending time together plopped down on the couch - all of this would speak to Pippa's incredible temperament. She's such a low-maintenance pup who derives her joy in life by spending time with those she loves.
We aren't open to a home for Pippa where everyone spends their days working full-time outside of the home....we'd like her to get more time and attention than is possible with that lifestyle.
Pippa is a non-shedding girl with the softest hair you have ever felt. She will therefore requires periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep her cotton-soft..and very shiny.. coat healthy and matt-free.

Pippa is being fostered in Denver. Applications are currently being accepted for this exceptional companion and true best friend. They can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If interested, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
