Gus is a 10 year old black and white male Shih Tzu. He has a very sweet disposition, likes people, and especially loves sitting on the sofa with his foster mom or dad. Before coming into rescue, he spent most of his life with an elderly woman who remained in her home much of the time, so unfortunately he missed out on many of life’s fun experiences. For that reason, he feels most comfortable in a quiet home with older adults and would love to be the center of their lives. However, he’s no couch potato and enjoys going for walks and is curious and observant about what’s going on outside. He’s in great shape and needs someone who will continue to give him exercise. Gus is completely house trained and has very good house manners. He never begs at the table but does appreciate daily treats. He would love to sleep in bed at night with his new family, but is okay sleeping in his dog bed on the floor in their bedroom instead if that’s what they prefer.
Gus is very healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. His adoption fee is $120.00 plus sales tax of $8.73, for a total of $128.73. His foster parents would like to adopt him to a family who lives within a one hour drive of the Twin Cities, and also encourage his adopters to attend the annual Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion in June each year.
